Thank you for your interest in the Centennial Chinese Shar-Pei Club. Our club is open to anyone that has an interest in the Chinese Shar-Pei in the state of Colorado. We welcome other states such as Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah. Our meetings are held on the average every two months.

Our club serves to provide information about the breed, and to promote education about local and national issues that might involve our breed. We are very active in legislation. We also are actively involved in research projects that might lead to better health in our breed.

At the current time, our club is in collaboration with Colorado State University in a research project doing research about Shar-Pei fevers and how that might relate to the amyloid kidney problems in the breed.

We put on breed booths in various locations to educate the public about the breed. We are also active in fund raising for research projects to improve the health in our breed. We are active in rescue, and sponsor the only Shar-Pei rescue group in the state of Colorado .

We keep the club members up-to-date on all the pertinent information that might be of interest to the club members, regardless of the nature of the information.

We also publish a quarterly newsletter, named the Rocky Mountain Wrinkle. It was voted the best Shar-Pei club newsletter for 2005. All club members receive a copy of the newsletter with their membership.

We also have two parties a year: One is a Christmas party in January, and the other is a summer picnic in July.

We hope that you will come to our meeting, and see if the club has anything to offer to you. We look forward to meeting you.
